Access depends on your chosen route. Some luxury eco-lodges are only reachable by boat via Sierpe or require short domestic flights. If driving, a 4×4 is strongly recommended, especially during the green season or when roads are rough. Corcovado National Park Day Tour

Enjoy the wonders of Corcovado National Park, known as "the most biologically intense place on Earth" and home to 3% of the planet's biodiversity. This half-day tour departs by boat from Punta Uvita beach at 7:00 in the morning and arrives at the San Pedrillo ranger station after a 1.5-hour trip. The first walk takes between 1.5 and 2 hours and takes you through coastal trails and flat primary forests, where you can observe birds, mammals, reptiles and impressive flora. After an outdoor lunch at the ranger station, the second walk, shorter than about 1 hour, covers slightly uneven terrain, weather permitting. During the boat transit, keep an eye out for whales, dolphins, turtles and seabirds, and enjoy breathtaking views of Costa Rica's southern Pacific coast.
